Botanical Eco Printing Original Art Pieces
Inspired by the dance between the Earth and Sky
About Botanical Eco Printing
The printed images and color in the process of botanical eco printing are created from natural plant pigments of the Earth. This ancient method of working with plants has produced color long before synthetic dyes were created.
The magic of Nature held within the leaves and flowers is revealed through the eco printing process. Each contributes its unique pigments, enzymes, acids, tannins, and other natural chemicals in a complex alchemy.
As part of the dying process the paper or fiber is prepared with natural minerals to receive the plants magic. “Bundles” are created by layering the plants with paper or fiber. These bundles are then exposed to heat which releases the plant’s colors and textures. The results are many and varied depending on the combination of plants, minerals, and heat.
At the completion of an extensive process, it’s exciting when the time comes to unwrap the bundles revealing these one-of-a-kind imprints from Nature.

Testimonial
Karen,
I received the Eco Print Original Art Piece I recently purchased in the mail today! I felt giddy, like a child opening a gift (not my typical response to packages arriving). I LOVE it! As soon as I saw it, I was overcome with an uncanny and moving sense of reverence, joy, and awe. For such a tiny little thing of beauty, I can only explain the cause of my heart swelling and little tears as a Divine Presence emanating from the piece. These beautiful plant spirits live on as their essence is pressed into the paper canvas. Not to be left alone on a sterile palette, they are cradled in an artistic and equally alive environment imbued by the love of an artist with the purest heart I have ever known! I see many pieces in my art collection as portals to something or some place magical. This little piece delivers magnificently in that endeavor! From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
